Jerome Goldberg, D.M.D.
Hello! For over 33 years it has been my privilege to serve the orthodontic needs of the Orange County community. My interest in orthodontics began as a child when I underwent orthodontic treatment in Syracuse, New York. My passion for this profession has never waned since then. It is always a thrill to see the smile of each patient transformed during treatment and the confidence and self-assuredness this change brings.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Dental Science degree and my Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. I attended the university as its first University Scholar of the dental school. This program allowed me to combine my undergraduate and graduate studies to complete my degrees in six and one half years. It also allowed me to pursue my interest in dental research by spending a semester in Israel at the dental school at Hadassah Hospital outside Jerusalem investigating lead absorption during tooth formation. My orthodontic certificate was obtained at the University of Connecticut Health Center, a leading institution for orthodontic study and research.
Keeping current with the latest trends in orthodontics and dentistry is an essential part of my practice. Fifteen years ago, I established the Southern Orange Dental Study Group to bring noted dental experts to Monroe to educate the dentists of Orange County. I have served as this group's president since that time. I have registered over 1,000 hours of continuing education with the New York State dental registry. My professional affiliations include membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Southern Orange Dental Study Club.
I have always taken a personal interest in the community in which I live. Goldberg Orthodontics has sponsored teams in the boys’ baseball league and the girls’ softball league as well as sponsoring the summer concert series in Monroe. Many Boy Scouts have earned their dental merit badges under my tutelage. I have been an active leader at the Monroe Temple of Liberal Judaism, including two years as its president. Currently, I serve of the Board of the Orange County Alzheimer's Association.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Sharon, for over 35 years. Sharon has earned a Master's Degree in Nursing as well as a Nurse Practitioner license. We have two grown children – Rick and Michelle – both residing in the New York City area.
